There are no deadlines; we welcome submissions throughout the year. We are rarely willing to be lenient with the theme when it comes to poetry, and will do so only if the submission is very good.

We are happy to read excerpts from longer pieces, though in our experience it rarely works to pull 4, words from a longer piece and call it an essay.
